Who we are
Stafford's original brewery. Championing community, brewing fearlessly and fuelling fun.
When Cheyne Meehan opened Happy Valley Brewing in Stafford in 2020, Queensland already had 90-plus craft breweries and a pandemic doing its best to kill hospitality. He opened anyway.
The former crane operator turned homebrewer had already converted his backyard into a functioning brewery - cold room, direct pour taps and a steady stream of friends happy to trial whatever he was experimenting with. The jump to commercial brewing was inevitable.
The grasshopper logo tells you everything about the place: when pests destroyed Cheyne's home hop bines, he adopted the culprit as a mascot. That same spirit - cheerful, unfazed, always finding the upside - runs through every beer and every tap.

Our Beers
For a small, suburban brewery Happy Valley Brewing punches well above its our our weight in the brewing stakes.
This year we were named Champion Brewpub at the Royal Queensland Beer Awards, as well as Grand Campion Beer for our 50k IPA, which will be pouring throughout the Ekka.
You can try our beers at our Taproom, as well as buy them in cans to take them home.

How Ya Like Me Now
How Ya Like Me Now Hazy Pale 4.6% ABV - The crushable hazy pale you've been seeking. Bursting with bright tropical notes of Pineapple and Tangerine with a hint of Pine. It's dry, soft, hoppy and built for summer sessions. Simple, characterful and damn delicious!
No Way Jose Marg Sour
No Way Jose Margarita Gose - 4.7% ABV - No Way Jose is a sour ale with a twist. Margarita inspired its that perfect poolside crusher. Dripping with tart lime, with hints of agave, tequila and orange. Guaranteed fun in the sun with this little ray of sunshine!
